Bud Guidry Freestyle

I’ve been admiring Bud Guidry’s flies since I first saw them. His flies are perfection in silk and feather, and his freestyle flies are just amazing. I would hesitate to call him the best classic dresser of this generation, but in my opinion from what I have seen, his creations are among the very best. Just take a look at this limited selection of his flies in the video below. You can see more of his flies hosted on FeathersMC.com.

Classic or Realistic?

I was browsing Facebook this morning and this little piece tied by Mike Townend caught my eye. The caption reads “… its 160mm long 13 wings and i have got no hair left…”. Whoa, what an awesome piece, I’m not even going to ask how long it took to tie.
