Another stellar tutorial for tying tubes. This one features the Eumer cone-tube. The design is really simple, but the main thing to take away from this is the way the tube is set-up. The video includes a quick how to on adding the hook and a stream pipe demo at the end, so be sure to watch all the way through.
A nice easy Templedog style fly using the Eumer tube system. The body is interesting with the use of Mirage tinsel over top of the floss body. That will look interesting in the drink. The Salmon will love this.
I love tying traditional Black Ghost patterns, and I love seeing variations of it as well. I have a few different versions I tie, mostly based on the original, but this tube fly is a nice break from the traditional. Just add a bit of jungle cock and you have a very sexy fly pattern. The Eumer tube system is fast becoming my favorite tube to tie on with the versatility f colors and shapes they produce. My only beef is the cost, but quality is important and so Q-tips shanks are definitely out.
This is another Richard Strolis video and there will be more down the road. He does a great job with the variety and production of his videos. Keep up the great work Rich.
