Autumn Silver | Lee & Joan Wulff by The New Fly Fisher

Autumn Silver | Lee & Joan Wulff

In this classic video sponsored by Nova Scotia Tourism, Joan & Lee Wulff come to fly fish on the Stewiake River for Atlantic Salmon. Sadly this river no longer holds Atlantic Salmon and is better known for Striped Bass and Brown Trout. Great old film and Lee was the master of storytelling as shown in this video. Enjoy!

Wings for an Angler with Lee Wulff by The New Fly Fisher

Wings for an Angler with Lee Wulff

In this classic 16mm film, the legendary angler Lee Wulff chronicles his early days of flying and fishing in Newfoundland and Labrador. In fact, these videos are from the government archives as the province paid Lee to promote the fishing. This was just after World War II and his early days of using a float plane. Crazy that he was hooking and landing such massive trout and salmon on a small 7-foot bamboo rod! What is amazing is that fishing is still great in much of Newfoundland and Labrador, just like then!
