I’ve been tying up parachutes to fill up my spring box. It’s still a bit away from the opening day, but the weather outside is superb, and with almost no snow in sight, I’m looking to go fishing right away. Leroy uses moose hair for the tail, and I really like that idea, enough to go try out a few right now.
Remember, keep the dubbing light, “You’re not knitting a sweater” lol
I love Don’s flies and this is a shining example of why. The Adams is popular in many of its forms, but perhaps, the wet version gets left out all too often. I really suck at tying wet flies with quills, but perhaps I can tackle this one. You can check out Don’s article here complete with recipe.
Improved? I’ll have to cast a couple to be sure. Thanks to Paul Harper over at Fly Fish Calgary for bring this one to our attention. I’m not sure what to make of it except that it’s entertaining and I do believe there is something to a fly this buggy.
