Smallmouth Bass Predator X by The Fly Fiend

The Fly Fiend is back with a great streamer fly. While he is best known for some of the killer nymph patterns he whips up at the vise, he is equally adept at tying larger baitfish streamer patterns. This minnow was designed to go after bass, but any toothy critter is bound to give chase. I haven’t given the Fish Mask product a try yet, but I do like the way it finishes this fly pattern. It gives the fly a nice clean head without needing the UV resin, curing light and positions the eyes evenly, something that can be a little bit challenging.

Keeled Minnow Streamer by McFly Angler

I’ve been following Shawn from McFly Angler for a few months now and in addition to the great fly tying content on the page, he also ties up some great looking flies. This keeled streamer is great for bass, pike, and larger trout. The fly rides hook up in the water and should help avoid any unscheduled snags. Make sure that you view until the end to get a preview of the fly swimming underwater.

Con Man Streamer tied by Gunnar Brammer

This fat meaty morsel of fly looks impressive, but not overly complex. Gunnar gives tyers a step by step tutorial on his Trout Nugget/Jerk Jr. hybrid pattern known as the Con Man. The Con Man is a dream for predator species such as pike and bass. The real magic in the fly comes from blending the colors in the dubbed head with the colorfast markers Gunnar uses.
