March Brown Anchor MBA – Richard Strolis

Anchor is right, this little bug is a pig. I love Richard’s tying style and he does a great job on this heavy nymph. He adds a chartresue hot spot to the fly, but I think it’s going to be a killer even without it. I may have to pull out my Nymph-head beads and twist a few out.

A simple in the round tie for the Eastern March Brown but serves dual purpose as a medium sized stonefly. This particular fly is moderately weighted and designed to be fished as an anchor in a “euro-style” nymph rig. I personally like to tie this in 2 sizes and weights as explained in the video. This fly has been cleaning up this spring. Good luck and happy tying!
