Of course once you think you’ve seen everything, something new pops up. I’m not sure what to think about this latest development in big-ass-flies. The fly itself is a great looking sculpin suitable to throw on any line rigged for bif flies. The difference here is the medium, a cotter pin. Okay, that’s cool, basically some metal with a big eye. My only concern is the make-up of the eye, most pins I’ve seen would likely chew through the line, but let us assume the pin has and all round eye. Great idea, and this takes away the need to locate Waddington shanks or to bend and clip salon irons. Time to hit the hardware store for some more ideas.
